FREEdom Tails Ohio Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue. We are 100% volunteer and foster based.
We rescue and rehabilitate mostly retired breeding dogs and medical cases from commercial breeders. We are located outside of Columbus, OH, and our foster homes are located within about a 2 hour radius of Columbus and Akron.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention before being made available for adoption. They are also treated for worms and fleas, and puppies are kept current on vaccinations as well. All adoptions come with continued support and peace of mind: if you can no longer care for your dog, FREEdom Tails Ohio will always take the dog back.
We don’t just rescue — we write and work to change laws.
FREEdom Tails Ohio also helps with many other animal welfare issues, such as the time when dozens of dogs were transported by plane during Hurricane Irma, the changes in laws after the landmark nursing home case in Philadelphia, and many other things that we hope will make a positive difference in the lives of animals.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with various tasks including fostering, transporting, and fundraising. Please let us know if you’d like to volunteer as an event planner, social media guru, business manager, or foster parent — email us at freedomtailsohio@gmail.com
